Hi! My name is Chantal, but you can call me Chanti. I am currently a 1st year masters student at the United Nations University in Tokyo. I am Dutch/Caribbean but attended an international school my whole life. I moved to Tokyo 6 months ago and the experience has been amazing. Getting to know many people, experience new things and visit different places has been wonderful. Additionally, the really convenient location of IFCA has made it really easy for me to get around Tokyo, something that I was a bit nervous about because I don’t know Japanese very well.
However, I am starting to pick up the language and people in Tokyo have been really helpful and nice. I’ve always told my international friends that I wanted to live in Japan one day and am really excited that I managed to do it. Although I’m only staying for a short time (2 years), I want to experience many things and hopefully get to know Japanese a lot better. I’m looking forward to my future experiences.
